This petticoat dress is really eye-catching due to the sexy neckholder cut with the deep décolleté. The large, plate-shaped skirt forms a contrast to the tight-fitting upper part. The dividingseams shape the chest and waist very nice and are decorated with a white gimp. The décolleté is emphasized by the contrasting plackets and straps in red. Underneath of neckline there are three fabric covered buttons as well as a red bow with a cute metal part in shape of a key. The hem has a wide, contrasting placket in red which is accentuated by a white gimp. The vintage polkadot design looks fantastic in the classic colours blue/white. The awesome pattern and the comfortable fabric care for an ideal wearing comfort. The dress has a concealed zipper at back which could be secured with a small hook and loop. It's made of cotton and is very easy to clean in the washer. You could wear this dress with or without a petticoat. Let's face it!: You couldn't resist this sweet dress!

History of Polkadots:
The polkadots found their beginning in the 19. century. The dots design ows its english name to the - at that time - very popular polka dance. Beyond that the design and the dance have nothing in common. The polkadot design is characterized by the equal dots which have always the same distance to eachother. The size of dot is irrelevant. Most important is the constant repeat. It's responsible for the regular and geometric impression. The polkadots had their real boom in the 50s: The sweet dots found their way on skirts, blouses and shirts - in endless colours. The design stands for childlike lightheartedness and at the same time for pure reliability. No question that the polkadots fit perfectly to the confident attitude of life at that time. Nowadays the polkadot design has periodical comebacks and is shown in many lines of different designers. - Always bringing the fantastic attitude of life of the 50s with them!
